Join experts from the Intellectual Property Office and Companies House, who will help you understand Intellectual Property and your responsibilities as a first time director.
During each 3 hour seminar, you will...

Discover

  • What is Intellectual Property (IP);
  • How to protect and manage your businesses IP;
  • Identify ways to exploit your IP commercially, to grow your business.

Understand

  • What your responsibilities are when appointed as a First Time Director;
  • The incorporation process (setting up a new business);
  • How to search and use Companies House tools and information.
At the end of each seminar, refreshments will be provided for attendees who wish to stay for informal networking and 1:1 discussions.

The Enterprise Club-Is starting a business right for you? 30/4/12

Creative Calderdale and the Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre (EWIC) are pleased to announce a joint business support event to help businesses grow at home and overseas in 2012.


The business support event will focus on getting businesses ready for overseas trade and will feature up to date information about current funding available for start-ups and SME’s, best practice seminars from companies already trading internationally and a Creative Marketplace to help boost the media and brand profiles of businesses attending the event.

This free event will take place from 6pm – 9pm on Thursday 24th May 2012 at Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre, Hopwood Lane, Halifax, HX1 5ER.

The spring series of work clubs is now available. We have lots happening over the coming months with talks on a range of topics. As usual we will have the library's job seeker advice workers providing basic support at the sessions and access to IT for any job related work.

The work club provides job seekers an opportunity to get support to help them back into work, meet other jobseekers, exchange skills and share experiences.

A programme of sessions will provide
information and support on a range of essential skills.


Career advisors will be available at each session to provide basic support with your job seeking needs.

Referrals to in-depth sessions - due to the nature of the sessions, we are unable to offer in-depth one to one advice. If this is required, you will be able to book onto a job seeker advice session available at the library.

You are welcome to attend the Work Club as many times as needed.
